The 2016 August Boro Art Crawl

The Boro Art Crawl Committee invited Jeff Mayfield to exhibit art in the August 2016 Boro Art Crawl. This event was held Friday August 12th from 6 to 9 pm. The exhibit was displayed in Let's Make Wine at 109 E Main St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Thanks for joining us at the Boro Art Crawl!

June 2016 Boro Art Crawl

The Boro Art Crawl Committee invited Jeff Mayfield to exhibit art in the 2-day Boro Art Crawl held on June 9-10, 2016. We had a great time meeting people in Funtiques located at 118 South Maple Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

West Main Brick Oven Art Gallery
Rotating Corporate Exhibit


Jeff Mayfield’s artwork is currently on exhibit at the West Main Brick Oven Art Gallery in Manchester TN. The exhibuit currently features mixed media paintings and photgraphs completed in 2016. Iincluded in the cuurent works is the 2016 American Iris Society Region 7 Best In Show color photograph. Be sure to vist the exhibi when you are in the Manchester Tennessee area at 115 West Main, Manchester, Tennessee. After viewing the exhibit be sure to dine next door at West Main Brick Oven.

La Bella Serata Art Walk - September 30, 2016
Manchester Tennesee

Friday, Sept. 30th from 5pm-midnight for "La Bella Serata"!

Jeff Mayfield has been invited to participate in the La Bella Serata Art Walk on the square in Manchester Tennessee. We will be showing mixed media paintings and photography.

Spend an evening under the stars! There will be beautiful ambiance & music for dining & dancing. The Merchants will have tables set up both inside and outside on the square so that everyone may enjoy the drink and food specials. 

There will also be an art walk! The West Main's Coffee & Events Center will be transforming into a fine art gallery where we will host works from multiple artists. Along with us, there will be over 10 other participating stations around downtown displaying art. There will be footprint markers outside showing where to go & an art map to guide guests!

American Iris Society
Region Seven Inaugural Photography Contest
Best of Show Winner

Jeff Mayfield’s photograph was awarded first place in its category as well as best of show for the 2016 Region Seven Inaugural Photography Contest. The work is titled “First Light,” and it was taken near Beechgrove, Tennessee on May 5, 2016. The image depicts natural light shining through the fog above a garden full of irises and other flowers in full bloom.

The Depot District Arts Fest Art Crawl
Inaugural Art Crawl, June 11th, 2016, Smyrna, Tennessee

Tullahoma Fine Arts Center Presented Over Thirty Works

This 2010 exhibit displayed interesting pieces that focused on the effects that our behaviors can have on others. "In this series, Mayfield focuses on how behavior communicates values and standards of life. The series is designed to encourage reflection on how our actions affect others." - The Tullahoma News

Manchester Arts Center Presented Works

This exhibit opened in April and ran through July of 2010. "Jeff did a demonstration before the Gospel Fest and will also be encouraging participation in a new experience - a community painting!" - Manchester Arts Center

Watercolor Workshops at the Manchester Arts Center

A series of five weekly workshops were held in 2009 to introduce basic watercolor tools and techniques. Two and a half hour classes were provided for three different age groups from children to senior citizens. Everyone was encouraged to approach painting as a learning process. These workshops were designed to present a life enriching perspective on how to learn watercolor basics as a method to encourage self-expression, improve self-esteem, and increase focus.

The Art Center of Cannon County Presented Thirty-four Works

This 2008 exhibit included thought provoking pieces regarding Jeff Mayfield's interpretations of his journey through life. His works depict some of the memories that have molded and enriched his life. These images represent an informal type of “scrapbook.” One goal is for these images to relate to memorable events from the life of the viewer.
